Hi, can someone help me. Right now I'm having orbi mesh network setup which my provider force me to put it , but I'm planning to change it with 2 sx10 switch and xr700 router and ex80 extender. ...
- Thanks a lot for the video, that really cleared it up. I do think you have the right idea with what you want to do. I would suggest having the XR700 upstairs and then connecting your devices to that (with a switch if needed) and the extender downstairs. Then you should have good WiFi coverage on both floors. Your idea will definitely work, might be a case of moving the router/extender around to find what provides the best coverage.
What is it you have from your ISP, is it a pure modem or modem/router. If it is a pure modem then you can't connect a switch directly to it to then pass it on to other devices you have to connect a router to it first, then you can connect a switch to the router.
I did look up for it and it is this one ( EchoLife HG8240T5 GPON Terminal ) ,but I'm not sure what is it

- Do you receive WiFi through it? If so you can do your planned setup? If you don't then you'll have to connect the XR to it first.
No I don't I receive wifi through Orbi router with connected to switch that is connected to this router
