how to install a older FW on the xr700
my xr700 keeps dropping the internet about every 5 mins.someone posted a message that the new FW was junk to go back to old FW . he sent me a link to FW. i put that download in the FW update in router but it says, the file formate is *.img. can someone help pls. this router has been one problem after another.is there another brand of router that offers the ping assist and Qos?

The firmware download available on https://kb.netgear.com/000060267/XR700-Firmware-Version-1-0-1-2 does come as a ZIP archive, which has to be unpacked (two files contained, XR700-V1.0.1.2.img and XR700-V1.0.1.2_Release_Notes.html). Can't be difficult...
it is for me I dont work on or with PCs I build houses. how do i chose the zip file?do i have to open it first?how do I do that?
