I don't have hybrid VPN XRM570

Dear Community,

 

I have recently purchased a Netgear product for the first time.

I had high hopes but I've ran into the same problems as people highlighted below.

However, NetGear customer service seems effective and efficient so far - the online chat was useful and they directed me here.  I have an open mind I can solve this issue eventually and I will share if I happen to do so. 

I have 3 questions:

Does anyone have any experince using OpenVPN on a Netgear router?  

Has anyone manually configured to put a VPN on a Netgear router when Hybrid VPN is not an option?

The reason I bought the XRM570 was so I could configure a VPN on my router then use my new Xbox in China. There must be a way, surely? I'm in this for the longhaul.  Any advice is much appreciated?

    If Hybrid VPN is not available due to geo restrictions then there isn't really anything you could do. I think your best bet would be to bridge a connection from your PC to Xbox so the Xbox goes through the PC for a connection and you apply a VPN on the PC.
