We haven't specifically tested with any mobile games but that shouldn't happen - how much does your ping increase with just the Geo-Filter enabled and when that happens what server are you getting put on? You'd need to add the chat server to the allow list and then it'll work with a reduced radius.

I am getting 70-80 ping when using the geo-filter. Also, if I don’t allow the chat server, how can I talk with my friends in-game? I am getting the Pakistani server IP range from 43.245.206.1 to 256 with random IPs.
- You need to add the chat server to your allow list, then you can connect regardless of your radius size/location. Invite them to a chat, check the map for an icon that appears then ping and allow it - you may need to do it a couple of times.
Have the device added to the Geo-Filter, connect to a game, take a screenshot of the map with that server being pinged. Then switch to Spectating Mode, reboot the mobile, play again and do the same screenshot please, then I can compare. Leave that for now; I have a few questions. Please just give me a reply.
1_When I connect XR to HG through Ethernet, the ping to the Middle East on XR fluctuates between 11 to 40 ms, while on HG, the ping is between 5 to 11 ms. Since it's a WiFi 6 and gaming router, why is the ping higher?
2_When I connect my mobile to WiFi, after 1-3 hours, the WiFi disconnects automatically, and I need to restart or hard refresh. After that, it works again, but only the 2.4 GHz band shows up, not the 5 GHz. When I hard refresh the mobile, the 5 GHz appears. I'm facing this issue on both my iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
3_Can you suggest any settings, like DMZ or anything else, that could improve my ping without using Geo-Filter?

- 1. That is entirely dependent on how the router is setup, how the HG is setup to pass all traffic through to the XR, if your devices are connected to both or just the XR - it's really impossible for me to answer without more information - there will be a cause.
2. Given the solution is on the mobile itself, that would indicate an issue on iOS rather than router side otherwise other devices would be experiencing the same thing. It's possible the private/random MAC addresses option on the phone might be contributing to it.
3. The HG should be set in modem/bridge mode or have the XR WAN IP in it's DMZ. I would not advise setting the DMZ on the XR for your phone. Then you should utilize Congestion Control to keep your network stable and Traffic Prioritization to prioritize the game/device. Netduma-Fraser

Thanks for your help, but my ping still fluctuates in XR while it's stable in HG. I'm not sure why—maybe it's a firmware issue. I updated to the latest version, but the 5G network isn't showing on both Samsung and iPhone. It only appears properly on my laptop, and on mobile devices, it's not showing correctly, while the 2G network shows up fine. I have the latest mobile phone both Samsung and iPhone.- For 5GHz WiFi change the mode to 2400MBps I think it is, then apply, do you see it working then?

Forget the Wi-Fi issue for now, it's still not showing. Can you help with the geo-filter? I set the geo-filter, but I keep getting connected to the same server, which shows 5ms ping, and it automatically appears and disappears in the auto-ping tab. The IP 43.245.206.1 to 254. However, I'm experiencing bullet delay sometimes. Some days my internet works perfectly, but other days it doesn't. Enemies' shots register even when I'm behind cover. I've tried different tools to track the IP, and it always shows me that same address. Is there anything I can do to improve my ping to this IP?- Can you provide a screenshot of the full Geo-Filter page showing what you see when you connect to this server please?
Does the in game ping reflect 5ms also? The in-game ping ranges from 10 to 40, while in matches, the ping is 20. However, the geo-filter shows 5ms.

The traffic prioritization sometimes works when I start the game, but other times it doesn't. Why is that?- You need to set Ping Assist to 0 and also if it's the server within your radius then you'll always be able to connect to it, you'll need to adjust the radius to exclude it. I'm not sure how tested the game is so it would be better to add your device with the Games Console service and then it will prioritize the game more consistently.
If I reduce the ping assist to 0, it always connects to the same server. When I switch the device to a game console, the response time doesn't improve; it decreases. How can I set a static IP for this server (43.245.206.1)? Also, why is traffic prioritization inconsistent—sometimes working, sometimes not? I read the article you shared, which suggests setting ping assist between 30 and 50. Previously, I had it set to 0, but it still connected to the same server.
I think the XR1000 firmware needs significant improvements because the 5G isn’t working properly for mobile phones, and traffic prioritization isn’t functioning well. The HG provides a more stable ping than the XR1000, the XR1000 needs improvements in certain areas.
- Then you need to exclude that server from your radius so you no longer connect to it.
I don't mean switch the device to a Games Console, just add the device to Traffic Prioritization and select the Games Console option to prioritize.
What do you mean 5GHz isn't working properly for phones? Did you mean like this? Check the picture below—setting the games console to traffic prioritization.
Also, 5G is not showing on my mobile devices. I tested it on an iPad M4, Samsung’s latest model, and an iPhone 15 Pro Max, but 5G only shows up on my laptop. When I hard reset my mobile, 5G appears for the first time, but after connecting, it disconnects automatically after 2-3 hours, and I have to hard reset my mobile again.
I also reduced my area to exclude that server. I’ll play the game and see which server it connects to.
- Yes that's correct for Traffic Prioritization. You have to set Ping Assist to 0, if you don't, you will keep getting that server. Also if there isn't a server within your range you will not get a server. Disable the advanced WiFi options I mentioned before and try again. You may also need to change the channel depending on what is allowed in your country.
I set the ping assist to 0 and selected my country, but now it keeps connecting to the old bad server with IP 43.245.206.1, which is available in my country. Before making this change, I occasionally connected to the Singapore server, which had a good 5ms ping.
I have a question: I’m playing in international scrim tournaments, and one of my friends, who also plays, has a higher in-game ping than me, around 150-120ms, while mine is 80ms. However, his bullet registration seems much better than mine. His shots register properly, while mine don’t. Sometimes, I get knocked out in 2 bullets, but I don’t see all of his shots, though his fire rate looks normal when I watch the death replay. In my view, he shoots me very quickly.
Also, if I disable advanced WiFi settings like AX, what’s the benefit of having AX in the router if I can’t use it?

- Is that server within your radius? If so you will probably connect to it, only have the servers you want inside your radius with any other servers outside your radius. Move the location, adjust the radius size etc to achieve this - it doesn't need to be set to your precise location. They may be experiencing lag compensation, as their ping is so high so the game gives them an advantage to try and make it move even. More so to disable beam forming, mu-mimo etc rather than AX specifically.
