Thanks for the quick reply but I shouldn't even respond to this reply. Especially since the answer to most of your questions are clearly stated in my original post.
Motorola SB6183 - this has nothing to do with my LAN ports not working. All wifi devices are working fine. You don't need a modem to use a router. This is not an internet problem. It is port access issue.
Yes it is just Ethernet Ports.
Pretty much clockwork. We get on the desktop every morning at about 8am and find it has stopped. I then check connectivity to my NAS which is also disconnected.
looks like my NAS never reestablished connection after it's automatic 5am reboot. That is the most accurate time I can pinpoint.

You realize this is members of the public trying to help out for free? We're not netgear.
If you want to have attitude, I'm happy to help someone else. and you answered 2 of the 5 questions I asked.
Thanks and good luck getting it working!
- CptnMorganApr 20, 2020TutorYes I understand I am reaching out to the public and I apologise if I sound ungrateful. But this has obviously been a problem people have been facing for a long time without any apparent resolution through various versions of firmware.
The fact I started the post with the firmware version immediately tells me the post is not being read in its entirety. I deal with this poor communication issue with Co workers and IT support people enough. Don't assume I am just an end user who needs help identifying the power cord for a "reset" please- plemansApr 20, 2020Guru - Experienced User
Ok, I'll give you the firmware the the top. 3/5.
Again good luck. I'd rather help someone who appreciates the fact that I'm trying to help others on MY time.
I'm not going to fight to get details or argue about unappreciative customer services agents.
- CptnMorganApr 20, 2020TutorSurely the community that has generated this exact issue in the past has found a resolution relating to a firmware problem or maybe a setting?
The only change I have made is rebuilt my desktop a few weeks before this started. The only router change I made was updating my DHCP list to reflect the new MAC address of my desktop and deleted the old one.
