what are your default dns on the xr500 and look through the lists to find the closest or dns to your state here https://sites.google.com/site/kiwi78/public-dns-servers. but make sure to use ping plotter to see your latency on the dns. i also have charter, my ping used to be an 70, then i change modems that drop me down to a 40, and just a few days ago im at an consisted 20 ping but i dont know why?. im in st.louis,mo.
