Thanks for responding. Yes, I have a gigabit ethernet card on desktop. I checked and it is running at gigabit connection speed. Also, I've and changed and tried different ethernet cables.
What I did find out and I'd had this issue before, I'm running Trend Micro Internet Security program. If I turn it off, my speeds jump up to 130 Mpbs + download speeds on test. Seems Trend Micro inteferes someway with download speeds when it running. I haven't had any luck getting Trend Micro to address this issue previously.
So now that I've at least gotten my download speeds up, are there any specific settings I need to look at for wired connections on this router? I have set my default providers IPV4 & IPV6 DNS to Google DNS servers which seemed to have helped a bit. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Duma OS has a guide to maximize your speed for your router. I'd recommend looking through it as its quite helpful
