So I've been having issues with Fortnite connectivity for a couple months now. I recently purchased the netgear CM1000 docsis 3.1 modem with a nighthawk xr500 router to try to give a more stable inte...

I just tried it and I had a tremendous improvement in stability and connection. Where do I go from here? Does this mean I'm having an issue with my router?
Thanks

No not necessarily, likely means that you need to fine tune the settings on the router more. Start with these optimal settings guides and let us know how you get on after that: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/folders/16000090646

I have already fine tuned my router to these settings. I just double checked to make sure everything was optimal. I am still having issues.

So I decided to disable QoS and run the base ping test from my computer to just get a sense of what is going on. I didn't want to impair the results by my PS4 taking most of the bandwidth. The results were awful. Again, the connection dramatically improved when I plugged it straight into the modem. If I run this test through the modem will this help me narrow down my issue? Theoretically, if I get bad results through the modem then I'm having an issue with my ISP and if the results are good then I'm having an issue with the router/router settings, correct?
