Netgear XR1000 internet flashing red and green
My router is doing this and I’m just curious as to what this means. I came across another thread saying not to worry about if it’s working fine. Which it is working fine, I would just like to know wha...
- So far so good, 2 nights with no red and green. So I guess I’ll chalk it up to the firmware updates without factory resets for now. Appreciate the help.
Thanks for the replay. I’ll try this later when I get home . I mean an ethernet cable is a cheap enough hip shot. I’m just not fully convinced that’s the problem. I’ve searched this before and vaguely recall seeing something somewhere about the router configuring or something? Not sure exactly what it meant back when I read it and I couldn’t find it when I tried looking for it again.
That would only happen if it's rebooting or going through a reset and you would notice either of those things happening. When it happens you could grab the log from the System Information page and I can see if there is anything referencing it there.
- Well tonight no blinking. Imagine that…. It’s pretty intermittent but I’ve now seen it often enough I’d like to know what exactly it is…… I’ll try and catch it one of these times.
- Alright, so I hadn’t logged into the router in a long time. Nothing in DumaOS was working at all. So did a factory reset and got all the Rapps working again. I know router has had several updates without any factory resets. So maybe that was the problem?
- Quite possibly, we always recommend a factory reset after an update to remove remnants from previous versions that could cause issues. Have the lights gone back to normal now?
