Netgear XR1000 seems to be resetting very easily ..

HI !

 

I have this problem with xr1000, i need to make a backup after a few changes in UI, since there is good possibility it will get reseted.. Sometimes it happends when power gets cut.

 

What is extremely weird, is that it does not reset to default settings, but it somehow makes a network called NETGEAR, not NETGEAR41 as in default settings...NETGEAR is open network, i can connect to it, but UI is password secured, it is not the default password, or my previous set password. So when this happends, i need to use pin to push reset button to really make it resetted.

    It's because it's being unplugged/loses power. Make your changes then reboot the router from the interface and that will act as a hard save, that should prevent it happening again when power is lost
