Nighthawk R7000 not getting only 200 download after upgrading to gig speeds on xifinity

Hey All, 

 

I've seen some similar threads but nothing that helped me solve my issue. I've recently switched my internet from 350mbs to 1000mbs on Comcast Xfinity. I'm using a motorola mb8200 modem which should be able to handle the speeds, i've spent a ton of time on the phone with comcast and they claim everything is good on their end. Is there anything i should be doing with my router settings? Or does this router not actually support faster speeds? Currently im getting around 230mbs download when im wired, around 200 on wifi.

    1. what firmware is on your R7000?

    2. After the upgrade, did you try a factory reset and manual re-install of the r7000 to see if maybe a qos setting was retained? 

    3. Make sure not to enable access control, qos, traffic monitoring on the r7000. 

    4. what modem did you have? I couldn't find a mb8200 motorola.
