Nighthawk x10 R9000 connecting to routerlogin.net disables the internet
After a long time I decided to login to nighthawk app and check the settings. When I did my internet disconnected. At first I didn't know what was causing it and thought it was an issue with the firemware because before this I had upgraded to the latest firemware at the time (forgot which one) and then downgraded back to an older firmware because the new firmware was giving wifi issues. Since I started getting wifi issues again I reset my router to factory default and then upgraded to the latest firmware 1.0.58. At this point I thought everything was ok but then the internet disconnected again. Again I was not aware why the internet disconnected. I then thought about the times when the internet disconnects and it is usually when I access the app or I login to the routerlogin.net page to change the admin settings. I don't know why its doing this and think maybe its normal because when you are making changes to the router settings the internet should be disabled so it doesn't cause any issues.
To me if the changes in the settings will cause isses it should restart the router rather than disabling the internet for everyone using the router just by loggin into the routerlogin.net page or using the app. Please let me know if anyone else is experiencing this issue. Maybe there was a setting that was changed by default that causes it to disable the internet when logged in to the admin page. I don't have a lot of opportunties to go into the admin page to look at the setting because a lot of people are in my house are using the internet and during this time everyone is at home so hopefully the fix is quick and can reduce the downtime for the internet. As for now the internet works fine with no disconnects. But I want to go back into the admin settings to configure my hard drive backup which was lost when I factory reset the router.

So update I realized I had smart connect turned on which determines which band to connect to based on the device. I researched that this was casuing issues with other people losing internet connection on wifi. I also didn't see the issue again when I connected to the admin page so its strange that it stopped and that was before I turned off smart connect. I will wait a couple days to see if the issue goes away. So far no internet disconnect issues.
