Nighthawk XR300 Slow Speeds
Earlier this week I picked up the Nighthawk XR300 and I've been having a bit of issues with the speed. On my old ISP-supplied Huawei HG659b, I would get anywhere from 800-950mbps on my gigabit conne...

Just to double check, have you put your expected speeds into the Bandwidth settings in the Anti-Bufferbloat options? Also in the Anti-Bufferbloat options is that where you have disabled QoS as if not it won't truly be disabled. If you have then that usually indicates an issue upstream. It could be that it's not synced properly with your modem/ISP yet. If you use the MAC address of the old router and set the XR300 to that then this can resolve that. For WiFi have you used a wifi analyser to find the least congested channel and change to that?

Hi Fraser, thanks for the info.
The speeds in the bandwidth settings were auto-populated (1000mbps up & down).
QoS was disabled in the Bufferbloat options (not sure where else it can be disabled).
As suggested I tried using the MAC address from the old router, but this doesn't seem to have made a difference unfortunately.
For networks, it's pretty isolated where I am and there's only one neighbouring Wifi network - their channel is on the opposite end of the spectrum compared to mine for both 2.4GHz and 5Ghz.

- brodymcJan 25, 2020TutorAll connections are 1000mbps, I tried the old router today with my usual ethernet cable and it was fine.
My computer isn't close enough to use a different cable, but I ran speedtest cli on my server, (which is connected to the router with a 1m cable) and I still got speeds around 100mbps.- Netduma-FraserJan 25, 2020NetDuma PartnerCould you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please as it's very strange it seems to be limited to 100mbps. Also try in AP mode, that essentially will disable DumaOS and see if you get any higher then please.
