Not sure what to get

We have crap wifi which we have tried everything on. Family at home and its seriously inadiquate. Have 3 people. 1 average user plus 1 school kid wants multiplayer gaming and homework the other is game designer working from home.
Desperately need top tech wifi and no idea what to get.

    how big is your home?

    What are your interior walls? 

    what modem do you use?
