Not sure since I don't have an XR500 but on the other nighthawks, you can configure vlan settings for iptv.
Might check that.

I woöö test that.

What modem do you have?
- Netduma-FraserJul 09, 2022NetDuma PartnerSet a Traffic Prioritization rule for the box, source 1-65535 / destination 1-65535 / protocol TCP/UDP and that will fast track it, see if it works faster then please
- Salva2022Jul 09, 2022StarHello, I have a Vodafone Station.
- Salva2022Jul 09, 2022StarO.K., I will do that Bit WE should forget network security.
- Salva2022Jul 09, 2022Star
First, sorry, sometimes i write with my smartphone and there is a "automatic correction" - i live in Germany and not every word is correct at the end (beause of automatic correction.)
'I did a rule für the set top box with port 1 - 65535 (source and destination) and aI allowed verything. I test it now.
Edit: I did that unter "Traffic Controller" --> Traffic Rules --> Add Rule"
- Salva2022Jul 09, 2022StarSorry, it doesn't work. I don't know why. I'm NOT a troll!!!! REALLY!! This can't be...
- Netduma-FraserJul 09, 2022NetDuma PartnerYou can try that - it depends what the rule you tried before was but I meant for Traffic Prioritization on the QoS page
- Salva2022Jul 09, 2022Star
Oh, sorry, test it now.
The rule in itsel it works (but i the false option), i blocked all, than the stb couldn`t go online.
Edit: Shall I "normal", "Video" or "game" choose? Apply to WAN?
Edit: It doesn`t work...
- Netduma-FraserJul 09, 2022NetDuma PartnerYou wouldn't do block you would do allow all, try that instead.
To test whether DumaOS is doing it, switch the router mode in settings to AP mode then check please - Salva2022Jul 09, 2022StarYes, that is logical, I wanted only test If the rule works itself.
I will test that in the afternoon. Thank you! - Salva2022Jul 10, 2022StarHelloy, that did not work, I had no Connection because the Vodafone Station is only set as a "Modem" and not as a router because of "Double-NAT". I have devices which should be accessible from outside - so the VF Station has to be configured as a "modem" .
- Netduma-FraserJul 10, 2022NetDuma PartnerYou don't need to set it in modem mode, you can put it in router mode then put the XR WAN IP in its DMZ and that will resolve the NAT issue
- Salva2022Jul 10, 2022StarSorry, I can't follow you. What do you mean with
"You don't need to set it in modem mode"?
What I don't set in modem mode? Do you mean "router mode? - Netduma-FraserJul 10, 2022NetDuma PartnerYou said the Vodafone Station is in modem mode, you can put that in router mode then put the XR WAN IP in the Vodafone DMZ and that will allow you to have an Open NAT. You can then see if you have the same issue and if you do then you can try putting the XR in AP mode to see if it still happens.
- Salva2022Jul 10, 2022StarO.K., I got you. But WAN IP in DMZ ist insecure (for langer time).
- Netduma-LiamJul 11, 2022NetDuma Partner
In this case there is no security risk. The XR has it's own firewall, if you DMZ'd a device without a firewall or any security measures, that could be insecure.
- Salva2022Jul 12, 2022StarYes, but normally you should do that. But we Test it. I'll give you a fredback 👍
