Questions about the router
I wonder if this router needs a notebook base to cool? Does it get very hot? Can he stay connected 24 hours a day 7 days a week direct?

Hi Gimli,
If you are referring to the XR500, then it does not need any cooling. I have the XR500 at my desk and it's been on 24/7 as well and its runs about room temperature.
Just make sure that you don't place the device in an enclosed area. :]

Mine stays pretty cool, I would say its room temperature maybe a degree higher . My modem on the other hand I could probably crack a egg on it and fry one no problems.

Is it necessary to put something underneath it, to be suspended and to have a better circulation of air?
Thank you

Mine is ontop of my blu ray player with nothing around it. My router is perfectly fine.
