Sorry to hear about that Eribos, hopefully they'll resolve it soon and you'll consider getting the router again in future.

having same issue and its feb of 2019 this thing is going back Monday.
- Netduma-FraserFeb 24, 2019NetDuma PartnerI would highly recommend keeping the router as I fully expect that it will be resolved in the next firmware

What do you do on the internet in the meanwhile? just take the packet loss? Yea right, they need to see the sales on this router dwindle so it will make them think twice before putting out some half baked product.
- Netduma-FraserFeb 24, 2019NetDuma PartnerPeople have downgraded to a previous firmware which resolves the issue while they wait for a fix. You'd lose some features but everything should work as expected.

which version of the firmware is reocmmended for that?
- Netduma-FraserFeb 24, 2019NetDuma PartnerI'd recommend going back to the original release firmware and seeing if that resolves your issue: https://kb.netgear.com/000060213/XR700-Firmware-Version-1-0-0-20

so after the downgrade it did get a lot better, the router still drops packets but not as significant as before, but the fact remains its still dropping out some how.
When previously before it would drop packet hard at the top and make a red line across all 3 and cause the hard stutter, this time it isnt hard stuttering and its only dropping at the router side.
Tomorrow i still have the rma for amazon im torn on what to do.

You might return the unit and hold off a while until NG gets this corrected. Then come back and try another one. Just keep an eye on the download site for updates.

- Netduma-FraserFeb 26, 2019NetDuma PartnerThat plot looks really good to me, the packet loss looks very minimal. If it's not actually causing you a network issue then I would say that's normal. Sometimes packet loss happens but it's not always bad. A service or program could send more packets than is needed to ensure it gets to its destination and therefore some may get dropped along the way.
- tonyw009Feb 27, 2019Aspirantmy internet become slow after change to xr700, my old asus ac5300 don't have problem, but with the nighthawk i cant even use discord.

What FW is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too? What speeds do you pay for UP and Down?
Speed testing with a wired PC or Laptop?

what is FW?
my modem model is: ARRIS DG2460A
the router xr700 is connected directly to the modem
download speed 600mb, upload speed 10mb
speed test using wired PC, cable CAT8
My pc:
Windows 10 PRO
Nvidia TItan XP collector edition
Intel i7 6900k
32GB RAM
motherboard msi x99 gaming pro carbon
power supply 1200watt
try update the firmware and downgrade, but still slow internet, that doesn't happen with my old asus ac5300

FW = Firmware
Your ISP modem has a built in router and wifi already:
https://www.arris.com/globalassets/resources/data-sheets/dg2460_ds.pdf
Modem Combo Units:
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem.Might downgrade to v20 as others reported this solved there problems. Recent FW seems to have problems.

- Netduma-FraserFeb 28, 2019NetDuma PartnerHave you entered your correct speeds into Anti-Bufferbloats options in QoS? Do you have Anti-Bufferbloat enabled and Bandwidth Allocation with share excess off? If you disable QoS in Anti-Bufferbloats options do you get your expected speeds?
