XR1000 Spotify tracks pause before playing next track
I've had a strange problem with my XR1000 router and Spotify. There's a bit involved, so I'll start with the symptoms. When I use Spotify Connect, to stream music to my Anthom MRX1140 receiver, ever...

I just tried Amazon music, and this works fine.
It is different however, as using Amazon Music shows as "Casting" input on the receiver whereas Spotify shows as "Spotify Connect." Once started with my phone, Spotify Connect can continue playing a playlist on the receiver independently, unlike streaming.
So combination of Anthem, Spotify Connect and XR1000 don't work together.

Netduma-Fraser Thank you for the kind compliment, and may I say you are a legend!
Disabling QoS did indeed solve the issue, Spotify Connect works flawlessly! So, just as you suggest, it is something in QoS that disagrees with Spotify Connect on my Anthem receiver.
I had factory reset the Router before coming here, so all QoS settings were default. I could just leave it disabled and leave well enough alone. It would be a major feature of the Router I'd be disabling, but it's only really the Adblocker I was interested in turning on.- Netduma-FraserFeb 01, 2025NetDuma PartnerGood to hear! Try re-enabling QoS and then adding the devices involved to Traffic Prioritization, does it work then?

I tried re-enabling QoS, setting my bandwidth speeds and adding the Anthem in traffic prioritisation and the problem comes back. I also tired adding my phone (starting Spotify Connect from my phone) but still no good.
I'm not a network person, but in my mind it's as if Spotify Connect is buffering part of the next track to play next, and QoS is somehow putting those data packets ahead to process first, so what's playing currently gets paused.
Disabling QoS consistently fixes the issue... No more lag free gaming for my daughter haha.
