Settings "grayed out" in AP mode not in Router mode
When I set up my Zyxel modem (where wifi was disconnected) into Netgear AC2300 (R7000P) in AP mode. I am unable to access all router settings. This leaves me with UPnP unseccessful on xbox and a moderate NAT type.
When I have the same set up of modem and router but have in Router mode. I have full access to the all router settings. But I now have double NAT and a strict NAT type.
Why am I unable to to get full access to router settings in AP mode?

Because only 1 router can control those settings at a time. In a double nat, both are trying to control them. In AP mode, they're disabled and the primary router controls them.

You can check your centurylink manual for how to change their upnp/nat settings since that's whats controlling them if the netgear is in AP mode.
