SLOW Internet with new C7000v2

Hello,

 

I just purchased and installed the Nighthawk C7000v2. It has been fine so far on for all devices EXCEPT my wife's Macbook Pro 16". The internet speed tests all show that the connection is fine, but when she tries to use apps like Google Chrome or BlueJeans conferences, the connection is insanely bad. The download/upload speeds are great, but web pages load extremely slow and video conferences for work are nearly impossible.

 

I am assuming it is an issue with her computer and not the ISP or C7000v2, but want to be sure. Is there anything from the modem/router end that I need to change to fix this?

    What speeds do you pay for?

    What speeds do you get hardwired in? 

    Is she connecting to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz?

    What speeds does she get hardwired, then over 5ghz?
