    What firmware are you on? 

    What modem are you using? 

    Qos isn't recommend at speeds >250mbps.

     

    A simple thing to try (if you don't have a lot of specialized settings) is a factory reset and reinstall. The R8000 got the netgear armor update and responded well to a simple factory reset and reinstall.

2. Spectrum issued Hitron DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem

3. Will disable QoS, thanks!

Will reset again. I don't use netgear armour. should I?

I wouldn't use armor unless you're wanting/needing the services it offers.
