Stop the firmware upgrade checking on XR500
Is it possible?
I see constant queries from the router on my FW logs.
From your response, the answer in no.

- You could disable some options in Settings > Monitoring > Logs, likely router operation specifically and they should stop appearing. There is an option on firmware update to prevent it auto upgrading but I'm not sure if that disables it looking for the latest firmware.
Is it definitely firmware it's looking for or cloud updates? It won't impact you negatively. From your response, the answer in no.
