Sudden issue with Wifi Speeds at range on XR1000
I have a XR1000 (XR1000 1.0.0.64_1.0.49) on one side of a 1200sq ft home. Wired connection my speeds are 800-1000Mbps. Wireless speeds within the same room as the router are 700-900Mbps. Middle of...

An extender shouldn't be needed.
but I do notice in your photo that it passes through the kitchen. Most kitchen appliances are made of metal and do a great job of blocking wifi. They could be blocking the signal.
Also, did you check if you were testing over 2.4ghz or 5ghz?
those speeds for 2.4ghz are actually pretty good speeds.
5ghz doesn't have the distance of 2.4ghz and doesn't penetrate as much material but it has a higher starting point for speeds.
so it could be the progression of speed from distance and obstruction from kitchen appliances.
If possible, I'd try centrally locating it. Would help as well

I was wondering if a kitchen appliance could be affecting the speed. I've tested on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz and the the 2.4Ghz is 30-130Mbps. 5Ghz is 30Mbps if the connection stays connected. The 5Ghz connection (different Wi-Fi name than 2.4) seems to connect and disappear then reappear all within a few minutes. I'm considering the extender if this might help address the problem. The only working Coax connection is in the Master Bedroom so the router and modem are connected within that room. What I can't figure out is what would cause the speed to drop suddenly in these past two weeks.

Try raising or lowering the height of the router. Or even moving laterally 5-6 ft with a longer coax. Sometimes a slight lateral/horizontal move can help whatever was blocking.
Also, make sure to avoid the dfs channels in case something is broadcast on radar in your area.
