Updated the firmware on what Netgear device? And from what firmware version to what version?
And where do you see the message buried in your subject?

You will have to explain that.
What are you doing?
What happens?
What error messages? And when?

I'm having the same issue XR1000 gaming router, I updated from .58 to .64 or whatever the newest version is.
Btw, factory resetting a router every time you update the firmware is completely ridiculous and unacceptable. That's the equivalent of asking a Windows 10 user to reset their PC every month after patch Tuesday. Was a huge mistake to buy this router in the first place, it's complete garbage. In the 18 months that I've owned it, this will be the 4th or 5th time I've had to factory reset it.
To make matters worse, the "backup" feature is completely broken. No matter what changes you make, and when you restore from a backup, it is still the default settings. Again, this thing is complete garbage, shame on you Netgear.
