UNSTABLE TICKRATE and lan problems
What's up !!! After months testing the XR500 i found an insane problem... auto ping shows you the tick rate of the lobby and yours... well... my XR500 is NOT ABLE to keep a stable tick rate of 150 ...

Auto ping is purely reporting those values, it is not affecting them. I wouldn't advise accessing the interface on mobile, it is not optimized for it. That could be a factor or as I mentioned the servers you're connecting to in which case there will be other servers that perform better. Games are perfectly able to play at those kbps values, I've provided a screenshot from a video we created years ago showing this. Granted it is for an older CoD but I doubt this has changed much. If your QoS and Geo-Filter is setup correctly then the values are not being affected by the router.

Ah ah ah !!! Once again you didn't read properly and didn't watch the complete 3 vids !!! I am NOT saying that Auto ping cause the problem...i'm sayin it help us confirming what we deal with !!! The problem is either on Duma Os or directly on Netgear's XR500 but there is a problem !!! I repeat that the Netduma R1 is STABLE on both setups and on every games and on all dedicated servers !!! Only thing that is normal is ping fluctuations and that happen on both R1 and XR500 !!! As i mentioned even in the vids I am not complaining about occasional drops and hella not about fluctuations because it is normal !!! What is not normal is half the bandwith dropping each 2 seconds aka 1 second full bandwith and next it drops by half and lower than acceptable values !!! While it NEVER do this on R1 with duma os !!!
And as always guys... i am not trying to diss you Netduma or Netgear... i'm just tired of that non sens and i like other customers deserve to fully enjoy our investment in your products !!!
I'm pointing out once again a real problem so instead of trying to dismiss what we say you should try to look where the problem really is because there is a problem !!!
The fact that you still pretend it's normal behavior while i also have proofs that the R1 is stable while the XR500 is not... is pathetic !!!

- DMC51450Apr 19, 2019StarI forgot to mention the lan problem which i think is related...
Premium Samsung 4k tv's are wrongly detected by duma os...with wrong name and type of device...but that's not even the problem...problem is the light is red on XR500 meaning tv is in sleep mode...even while the tv is open and on internet !!! Have to disable qos to enjoy internet browsing on our smart tvs !!! No need of disabling the qos if you on a computer since everything is flawless...but not on tvs !!! It is on our tvs when we change router like with the ROG GT AC5300...everything is properly detected and browsing is flawless... same with isp's aio's... but not with XR500 and R1 !!!
I already talked about that but then again you dismissed it...anyways still i can give more details once again !!!
And of course yes it do that on both XR500 that i have under the hands right now and also on R1 !!!
Samsung models are UN55MU8000 and UN55NU8000 !!!
Also i disabled the stay awake option on both tvs even if no need to do so with other routers !!!- Netduma-FraserApr 21, 2019NetDuma PartnerDifference between R1 and XR500 is that you could be connecting to different servers. They have lots in the same location, if the ID is not exactly the same then it is a different server. If your settings are perfectly mirrored on both routers then there is nothing the router is doing to cause this. As I mentioned as well the game is perfectly capable at running that kbps rate. If lower their send rate and receive rate momentarily then there is nothing the router can do.
Not sure why you would need to disable QoS just when using the TVs, what are your QoS settings? When you turn the TVs off are they in a standby mode?
