I have very poor internet connection. Is it still worth me getting on of these routers
It depends what you mean by poor, if you mean that you have slow speeds but a lot of devices in the house so that local congestion occurs then yes it would definitely benefit you having the router. If you mean the connection has a high base ping to start with then a router can't solve that.
