Verizon Fios gigabit slow speeds
Slow download speeds with verizon fios gigabit service.
Hi Cptin, this is very likely misconfigured settings. Please follow these steps:
1. Set Anti-Bufferbloat to 'Never'
2. Ensure Bandwidth Allocation's Share Excess for both download/upload is ticked.
3. Remove any manual rules from Traffic Prioritization.
4. Do a wired speed test from a PC
If that doesn't work disable QoS from Anti-Bufferbloat's menu and then do a wired speed test from a PC.

I disabled all QOS and speeds where still low on dslreport, speedtest, along with a few more testing sites. I average 250 down and 400 up. I am paying for 940 down and 860 up.I then tried different browsers and about the same.I am connected to my ISP router (DMZ) as I need for TV services. I think from reading a few forums that maybe the issue. When I test from ISP router speeds are closer to what I am paying for. Averages 920 down and 900 up.Thanks for all your help.Sorry for not responding sooner.- Do you have other devices connected to the ISP router? If so connect all of them to the XR500 & turn off the WiFi on the ISP router so nothing can connect to it by accident. Then redo the test.
If you have IPv6 enabled on the XR500 then disable that and then redo the test. Are you using PPPoE on the XR500? If so can you make the ISP router handle that instead?
