Wired Connection Difference?

Hi i live in the UK and i am with bt meaning i use the bt home hub 5 as my router. My question is by getting a gaming router will it make any differance if im using an ethernet cable. At the moment i get around 27 download and 6 upload with around 30 ping, but have recently been experiencing lag issues while gaming, but my ping stays low. Will this also fix this issue?

    If your ping stays low then that indicates that you may not be experiencing local congestion but rather the servers you're connecting to are not playing well for you. Either way one of the XR routers will help you with the issues if it isn't an ISP issue.
