Xfinity speeds now half with upgrade to CM2000 modem + XR1000 router
ISP: xfinity Internet Plan: Blast! Pro + Internet (speeds up to 400Mbps) Replaced my AC1750 cable modem router (c6300) that was previously on the same xfinity internet plan. Speedtest.net tested...

It seems to me there is an inherent inconsistency in your speeds anyway - you expect up to 400Mbps and yet get up to 475Mbps. The router won't allow you to get any more than they are outputting to you. What speeds did you enter into Bandwidth Settings?

QoS is currently disabled, but bandwith setting were set to 100% and that setting didn't perform as expected. I also tested the speed to my PS5 by allocating all bandwidth and adding it to the Traffic Prioritizaion list. Again, poor speed and performance which doesn't make much sense since it should have all been going to the ps5 via LAN. Why would utilizing the QoS feature reduce speed and performance?
Also speed flucuations between 50-100Mbps doesn't make sense with my new equipment. I figured that a 32x8 docsis 3.1 with a wifi 6 gaming router would provide more stable speeds for all devices.
- Netduma-FraserAug 20, 2021NetDuma PartnerSorry I mean what speeds did you tell it you have - it's in the same menu where you disable QoS fully. How did you add it to Traffic Prioritization exactly as the Games Console service won't include the ports necessary to prioritize speed tests as the gaming bandwidth is more important. Bandwidth Allocation just allocates bandwidth between devices, it doesn't force them to use it so if any other devices were using the bandwidth it would get whatever is left. I can't see the screenshots you've added as they need to be moderated, can you attach them?

I just looked at the setting you mentioned, and I had not touched it previously. When I just opened it it's currently set at 387.52Mbps/12.5Mbps. Would it be better for me to raise the Bandwidth Speeds to the speeds that are actually being tested via Speedtest.net? I had tested the played with the Congestion Control per some other forums and had it set at 70%, which didn't help at all. How I added it was I found and labeled my PS5 under the Device Manager, then added new device to Traffic Prioritization. I reuploaded the images as JPEG.

It will be limiting the speeds you're getting and also QoS would be too restrictive. The way you added it the speed test wouldn't have been prioritized. I mean attached as in you choose file/upload it from the reply box otherwise they still need to be moderated or you can upload to imgur.com or an equivalent and post the link here
