You can try recovering it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide

just make sure you enable tftp

I did as instructed but get a "connect request failed" when trying to send the firmware with CMD.
I am able to ping the device, and I have waited for a reboot and orange LED on power.

- Did you set the static IP correctly on your ethernet adapter as well as ensuring you're in the right directory where the firmware file is?
