Unless you are paying for two internet connections you'll only have one IP address. You can put the WAN IP of the XR found on the System Information page into the DMZ on the old router and that will resolve the double NAT.

This is 100% incorrect. Some ISPs dole out additional IP addresses. Ive done it in the past easily, and just did it again now.

I have one public IP with the router in front of it, and now another public IP for the XR - Im not using two on the XR. I'm doing work on an older web server where they have hard-coded my IP to allow me access. I didnt want to use the same IP for personal and business on their system.

Wall/ONT/modem > Old router (1st IP) > XR (2nd IP)?
