XR1000 and the creation of a "whitelist"
I have an XR1000 and I wanted to know if it allows me to create a "whitelist" of permitted MAC IDs that may access the Wifi, to the exclusion of all other MAC IDs?

I do not want any stranger to pass by my house, sit in a car near my house and sign onto my WiFi. The SSID/password is the only line of defense against that intrusion. I know I able to not broadcast the SSID. NETGEAR uses a software package called Genie software and it does show it can allow only specific MACs to access the network. If not the XR1000, can you tell me about any other NETGEAR that uses Genie?

As long as you have a strong password - capital letters, numbers, symbols etc it is very unlikely someone would be able to connect to the WiFi but I do understand. We (Netduma) can only advise on the Pro Gaming range so you'd need to do some extra research/post in one of the other sub forums to find that out.
