XR1000 Gaming Router keeps dropping 5G

My XR1000 will not hold a 5G connection. I try and switch from 2.4g to 5g and sometimes I'm able to connect to the internet but when it does it drops quickly and reverts back to 2.4g. No issues with 2.4g on any of our devices.

 

Firmware version 1.0.0.58_1.0.44

DumaOS version 3.0.216

5GHz set to channel 36

Security is WPA2-Personal

5G indicator on router is lit/white 

 

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Details below...

    While connected via ethernet disable both wireless radios, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes, enable both radios, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes then see if it is more stable.

      I did all of the recommended steps and everything is working so far. I'll keep an eye on everything this weekend.
