What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
What do you mean by wifi connection drops?
What devices do you have all connected to the router?
How many devices are connected?
What WiFi channel configuration do you have set on the router under basic and advanced sections?
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
NG routers don't test to block HTTPS sites or social apps. You should look into some DNS services like OpenDNS or NextDNS for help in blocking apps or services.

-This means that the Wi-Fi is connected, but my phone and other devices show a 'no internet' warning. If we don’t turn the settings off and on again, the internet won’t work. This doesn’t happen very often, but we experience it from time to time.

Try setting manual channel 1 on 2.4Ghz and 40 channel on 5Ghz.Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

-What is the purpose of this feature then?If you set an IP address reservation for devices you want to block, does this change the behavior?
