Turk Telekom / Huawei HG8010H.
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
-I'm using UGREEN Cat 8 sleeved cable.
What do you mean by wifi connection drops?
-This means that the Wi-Fi is connected, but my phone and other devices show a 'no internet' warning. If we don’t turn the settings off and on again, the internet won’t work. This doesn’t happen very often, but we experience it from time to time.
What devices do you have all connected to the router?
-Smartphones.
How many devices are connected?
-7.
What WiFi channel configuration do you have set on the router under basic and advanced sections?
-Default settings.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
-None.
NG routers don't test to block HTTPS sites or social apps. You should look into some DNS services like OpenDNS or NextDNS for help in blocking apps or services.
-What is the purpose of this feature then?

Try setting manual channel 1 on 2.4Ghz and 40 channel on 5Ghz.

If you set an IP address reservation for devices you want to block, does this change the behavior?
Be sure to disable Mac Address Randomizers on the phones.

I'll check my XR1000v1 out with the block controls as well since I currently have it online as well. I don't use blocking controls much as house hold is all adults here. 😉

Noticed trying to run the Connection Benchmark on 1st try, speed was not to spec for a 1Gb/50Mbps ISP serivce. Download was around 300Mbps. Upload was fine. I disabled the Scheduling of speed tests from the setting menu is all.
I then logged off the routers web page and logged back in a 2nd time and re-ran the speed test again twice and both times the sped was now to spec on the download and over 900Mpbs. MS-Edge browser in Win11.
Blocking of web sites is not working.
