XR1000 QOS for gigabit
So I have Xfinity internet with 1200 download and about 40-43 upload. I live in a smart home so I usually have 25 plus devices connected to the internet with only 4-5 of them being inactive on the net...

You should set the speeds to a rough average of what you usually see through the router without QoS set. You do have high speeds so it's less needed but if you do any downloads/any devices update in the background I would suggest using it. I'd recommend taking a look at our optimal settings guides which will help you get sorted https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/folders/16000090646
- Rome916May 31, 2023AspirantSee that’s the thing. Even when I have QOS set to never and I test speeds. I get fluctuating speeds almost every test. No test consistent to one or the other so it’s hard for me to choose a set speed. My download speeds are inconsistent but my upload speed is always a consistent 40 to 41. If my download speeds are fluctuating. Should I set the speed to like 900 if I’m getting 860-947 numbers and in between with every speed test taken. I believe I should set my upload to 41 as it’s the rough average. I watched freethys info on duma os and he said to set the QOS speeds to your worst time of the day internet speeds. I’ve tried all numbers but yet I still get jitter spikes. I just believe I’m doing something wrong for my set up. I run a CM2050V Netgear modem and use my xr1000 for internet access.

Then set Congestion Control to Always and experiment with the percentages to see what works best for you, we usually suggest 70% for download/upload as a starting point and go from there.
- Rome916Jun 01, 2023AspirantHey I’ve also heard that duma os is beta testing new QOS software for the R2. Do you have any idea if the new features will land on the xr1000?
