XR1000 VPN NOT WORKING !!!!!!

I have been trying to get the VPN to work on the XR1000 withouth success. OpenVPN on my iphone says "SERVER POLL TIMEOUT".

This is unacceptable for a $350 router. The DumaOS is sluggish at best. GeoFilter blocks my voice chat on PS5 with a friend added to the ALLOW list. The whole OS seems put together by AMATEURS !!!!!

I had to reset the router twice since I have purchased it because it was not letting my PS5 connect. 

I have purchased $140 of NETGEAR SUPPORT and the representative tells me the VPN not working "MIGHT BE A BUG AND I SHOULD WAIT TILL THE NEXT FIRMWARE RELEASE". Great !!!! Thank you for all the help and YOU'RE WELCOME FOR THE MONEY I HAVE SPENT ON NOTHING !!!!!

    Sorry to hear that, but if it is a bug then there isn't much you can do - I assume they have logged it with their team. If it is a bug then a replacement wouldn't work either. The feature isn't used much which is likely why it hasn't been seen until now. What are you trying to use it for? Maybe I can think of a workaround if I know your usecase.

    I can help you with the DumaOS specific issues, the slow interface is something we're looking at currently. Is there anything that appears blocked when trying to chat with your friend? If so add that to the allow list and it should work.

      I appreciate the response. The VPN I need to be able to access devices from my home network while not home. The PS5 issue is that I have my friend in the ALLOW list and for some reason sometimes it does not allow the voice connection unless I disable the GEOFILTER. We both bought the XR1000 because we thought the DumaOS 3 will work better but we have been dissapointed :((. It just looks like DumaOS is a rushed and unfinished software, not ready for prime time :((.Even after reseting the router twice and starting from scratch when I login and change through the menus I randomly get "the app was not able to load please try again". The GUI does not respond well at all and it is frustrating for a product this expensive. I don't want to be mean but I want you guys to realize that you need to do better than this please!!!

        Sorry to hear that!

        When you join a party with your friend, I'd advise ensuring you're zoomed all the way out on the Geo-filter map as sometimes a server will pop-up as well that you will also need to manually allow. You can also trying leaving Geo-filter disabled until you're friends in your party, then re-enable it once you're talking. Could you also please try going to System informaiton -> Installed Rapps -> click the three line menu and change the number of retries to 5? See if that helps the issue with Rapps not loading.
