There are only 2 firmware versions for the V2, if you're not on .22 then you can download it manually from here: https://kb.netgear.com/000066234/XR1000v2-Firmware-Version-1-1-0-22
Then see if you can access the router settings via this URL 192.168.1.1/adv_index.htm and if you can then you can upgrade from there
