Xr300 made my internet slower?
Hello, I recently purchased a XR300 router, hoping that it will improve my ping and spontaneous internet disconnection. I mostly play league of legend and prior to this router, my ping was set around...

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
I would use pingplotter.com app and directly test with a wired PC connected to your modem first. Then test with the XR router in the mix.

Are you using QoS? If so what settings are you using? It's likely you're experiencing local congestion and just need to optimize QoS.

I have already set up my QoS as my computer occupies 38, and remaining devices rest around 6 ( for both download and upload). And yet, my ping still raised. Are there any other solution that I should look into?
- Netduma-FraserMay 13, 2020NetDuma PartnerIt sounds like you're just using Bandwidth Allocation, that just allocates bandwidth, it doesn't eliminate lag/local congestion. You need to use Anti-Bufferbloat and Traffic Prioritization to effectively stop that. I'd suggest having a look through our optimal settings guides to get setup properly, if you have any issues/questions after that then we can help further. http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/folders/16000090646
