Guys thankyou so much for all your support but I am officially giving up lol, I’m gonna buy a router that works vdsl. Could you please let me know what model is closest to the rx300, as the only reason I went for that model is it had such a glowing review from a guy on utube called John glasscock, who said it’s perfect for PS4 gaming, but if you don’t want loads of expensive features this model is perfect once more many thanks for your time.

I'm not sure if this is the issue or not but disconnect the XR from the TP Link and then access the XR router via ethernet - can you access it correctly? If so make sure it's in router mode and then in LAN Settings change the LAN IP to something like 192.168.10.1 then apply and reboot the router. While that is rebooting connect to the TP Link and remove the bridge mode, connect the router back to the TP Link and re-establish the bridge mode. Then connect to the XR WiFi and try to connect to the interface using the LAN IP you changed it to, does that work?
I couldn't recommend one similar really as the XR series are the only routers that have DumaOS/these kind of features.

Thx Fraser i’ll Give it one last go lol, so the xr series don’t do vdsl, any other recommendations gaming router ps4.
- Netduma-FraserDec 18, 2019NetDuma PartnerLet us know how you get on! It should work with all connection types as you'll just be connecting it to a modem or router so I think what I suggested should work.

No worries Fraser if I will do, just one thing the laptop I’m using to acsess rx300 has no Ethernet so I have to use wireless, could that cause any issues, as I know if I could acsess it hard wired would be much easier, most of the time I can’t even get the Dumas screen so frustrating mate, think it’s a dns issue I have to turn the tp link off and back on seems random just to even get the screen to be displayed. Like I said before after hours of getting nowhere I tried netgear support and some guy tried to use remote acsess to solve issue, said that there are loads of foreign ip addresses on my network causing confusion and that may be the reason I’m finding it hard to get into the router settings, also said that’s the reason I’m finding gaming laggy, but surely if I game with wireless turned off and only have hard wired Ethernet cable can’t my PS4 be only thing on my network. I have checked devices and everything seems ok.
- Netduma-FraserDec 18, 2019NetDuma PartnerJust to confirm when you're in this setup the TP Link doesn't have WiFi broadcasting does it? What does he mean by foreign IP addresses though - have you got an example?
- JAMSROO7Dec 18, 2019Guide
Bro, he basically took control of the laptop through something called fix me, and came to the conclusion that I had a lot of foreign ip addresses on my network and these were causing the problem, said to look would be free but if I wanted to fix it would be 149! I said I couldn’t pay but thanks for looking. This sounded strange to me, I thought if I check my network and can only see what devices I have on that’s that, and if I turn off wireless while playing how can anything be on my network accept wired ps4. I’ll send some pics bro, let me know if anything looks out of the ordinary, i’ll Try your method tommorow let you know how I get on

Thank you much appreciated.

Doesn't look like your device has a bridge mode. That's a shame.
Might have to go through the DMZ route.
Also this guy that connected remotely to your PC and then asked for money? That sounds really dodgy to me. I wouldn't trust what he said.
FYI nobody from Netduma support will ever ask you for money.

NO joy I have officially 100% given up, for the second time lol. I can’t get a decent connection now even with just the tp link if you look at the top of pic you can see tiny red dots would these affect gaming as my signal now is sooooooo sloooooooow and completely useless for gaming, once more thx for all your input guys, i’ll Post router stats, can anyone tell me if they don’t look right. I may have been put on interleaving and not on fast path, all I can think of.
- Netduma-FraserDec 24, 2019NetDuma PartnerCan't see the dots in the picture you're referring to and these pictures haven't been moderated yet. Did you manage to try the DMZ? An alternative would be to do port forwarding 1-65535 TCP/UDP to the router. Also it does look like it has wireless so disable that and then make sure all devices are connected through LAN or WiFi to the router.

If you zoom in bro, there at the top of the graph evenly spaced out tiny red dots dots. I’m putting it on eBay, the Rx300. Hope I can grab a vdsl one with the same features.
- Netduma-FraserDec 24, 2019NetDuma PartnerI zoomed in as much as possible, can't see what you're referring to. Sorry to hear that, the only routers with these features are the XR routers or our own router, none as specifically vdsl and should work just fine with it regardless. When you got support before did you go directly through the Netgear support link and make a ticket? If not I would suggest doing that.
- JAMSROO7Dec 24, 2019Guide
If you look about an inch to the right of the long red line, you can see tiny red dots at the top of the graph, there’s 7 in total. So there is no Dumas router vdsl, that’s a shame.
- Netduma-FraserDec 24, 2019NetDuma PartnerRouters unlike modems don't tend to be connection specific as they're connected to a modem and so will work with any connection. I would suggest you make a direct ticket with Netgear as this is more their area of expertise.

No worries i’ll Do that
