xr300 with virgin media hub3 as modem

Hello,

I have set the VM superhub3 to modem mode and attached the XR300 via the WAN port to the 4th port on the VM router. The router has not been able to automatically setup /detect using the wizard so I have setup the DNS, Gateway, IP address,etc to include seting the MAC adress on the xr300 as the VM MAC address. This gets the internet light on the xr300 to go from amber to white. However I am unable to browse, ping, etc a machine connected to the xr300.

 

When I checked the logs on the XR300 I got the following, but this may be a red herring

 

[WLAN access rejected: incorrect security] from MAC

 

I have spent a some hours on this and dont really know what to do, how have others made it work ? Thx

    What were the manual details you entered exactly? I have VM as well so will be able to tell if they are compatible. In my personal experience the VM modem mode is a little flaky so I use it in router mode with the XR in the DMZ.
