XR500 - Slow ethernet and wireless speeds
I have gigabit internet but i only get somewhere between 70-90Mbps over ethernet and wireless.
Here are the tests i performed to narrow the issue down to the router:
- Modem to PC: Speedtest
- Going directly from my modem to my PC gives me speeds close to what i'm expecting (~900 Mbps)
- Router Speedtest
- After going through the setup wizard, the router prompts me to run a speed test. This speed is also close to what i'm expecting (~900Mbps)
- Router to PC Speedtest w/ QOS Enabled
- This is where things get bad. When i plug my pc into my router and run a speedtest, i get less than 10% of my expected speed
- Router to PC Speedtest w/ QOS Disabled
- Gave this a shot because it was suggested in other forum posts about the same issue. Didn't help
I've already reached out to customer support twice. They weren't able to do anything. The last time i spoke to them i was told to monitor my speeds for the next 24 hours and call back if they're still slow. I'm not too sure what will change during these 24 hours.
This aside, anyone have any ideas on what might be going on?
