i wasnt using geo filter. i think i find what was wrong. i disabled bridge mode and i think that caused some of those problems. would that most likely be the reason. after i enabled bridge mode on my isp modem everything seemed to work. the geo-filter i think if i put it in spectating mode, party chat always works, but when it's in filtered mode it doesn't work. even if i allow all the servers outside. it's also very inconvenient because i've had this issue before and putting the geo filter in spectating mode just makes ps4 party chat more viable.

So does it work with the Geo-Filter in Filtering mode and without bridge mode? If so then put the XR router WAN IP in the ISP hub DMZ instead to avoid a double NAT.

it doesnt work with out bridge mode or its finnicky at least

usually there are because my geo-filter circle is small so there will always be like people or servers outside my circle that are being blocked that i need to connect to and its a hastle everytime. i prefer spectating mode when trying to use ps4 party chat
