I understand and I have read this on the other forum post. The problem is that assigning Static IP addresses is not something that should be needed in order to make the router not drop the wireless signal. There are MANY posts discussing this topic and I have yet to see where the logs were captured and returned and then a solution found. So my stance and belief right now is there is a problem with the router that is not being addressed.
Ultimately the question is this.... Will NG admit there is a problme with this router and they have yet to address it? TO me it looked like the newer firmware was susposed to correct the issue, which would lead me to belive the problem was identified, however it does not appear to have corrected the issue....
SO can you tell us with a standard configutaiton on your XR500 Router, is there a KNOWN issue with them dropping the wireless signal?
If the answer is No, then I need to be refered to a post or solution where the issue was solved without involving static IP assignments.
Thanks,,

I understand that, the recent post from the NG lead is because i've been chasing them regularly on this, if they get enough information they can narrow down the cause. Yes I believe it is a bug that needs to be fixed. Certain things can help like static IP but not guaranteed. Some have said older versions work for them.
