Xr500 configure channels
Been going through a trouble shooting situation with turtle Beach for my headset . Their current request to try is to configure the router to I guess avoid certain channels I'm guessing under the 5g b...

There is only the one channel for 2.4GHz and then one for 5GHz. If you're using Smart Connect you'd need to disable this first so 2.4/5GHz can be separated and then you can change the channels. You can just try experimenting with the channels or there is a free WiFi Analyzer (literally called WiFi Analyzer) on the Microsoft Windows Store that you can download and use to check what channel might be best for you.
I think it's more like 2.4GHz that would be causing interference. It would be on the WiFi Setup page
Thanks for the reply.. are there any links or sites that can explain what needs to be done ? because unless im not looking at it correctly it looks like i can only adjust a singular channel .. currently its set to auto..
from the support this is what they are suggesting to try ...
"Configure Your Wireless Environment to Reduce Interference:
If you are not using any 5 GHz devices, shut off the 5 GHz band on your router. The router should have come with documentation explaining how to do this. If not, the router manufacturer support team can assist you with this.
If you know you are using the 5 GHz band, try configuring the router so it stays above channels 36, 40, 44, and 48. These are the channels most frequently used by our wireless headsets, so it's best if the router does not use these channels."
i've never really ventured into router settings this extensive or that seem extensive. thanks again for your help.
