XR500 DDOS How to Protect
I got a vpn service from nord vpn and i have this router. Am I pretty much good to go as far as getting protection form ddos attacks? or is there some settings i should know about.

There's not much more to do. Open Settings > WAN Settings and make sure that Port Scan and DoS protection isn't disabled.
IGMP proxying. should that be disabled?
- Either way won't make much of a difference so you could leave that on the default setting.
