The firmware has now been publicly released: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Pro-Gaming-Routers/New-Firmware-for-XR500-2-3-2-32-fixes-disconnection-issue/m-p/1636839#M3864
If you are having a disconnection issue, please upgrade to this firmware (or a later one in the future). Thank you everyone for your patience

I bought the xr500 a few months ago around june, it was working perfectly fine since then up until a week or so ago. I called in my isp technician to see if they could help with the issue but ultimately couldn't because it was my own hardware. I was however recommended to try a hardwire connection which I did and worked perfectly until today when I got disconnected from it twice, when I went to check on my router the internet LED was a dull orange then all the LEDs turned off except for the power which turned orange after a few short seconds all lights turned back on like normal as if nothing happened. I don't know why this is happening but when I looked into dumaos system information logs it said that there were dos attacks around the 2 times I did disconnect from the internet. I should mention that I did factory reset the router before and all the apparent issues were almost immediately solved, but now it seems they have returned. I have an arris surfboard model sb8200 for the modem my router is connected to. I am running V2.3.2.56 Firmware, any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Hmm...
Could you set your current WAN settings as Static?
To do this:
- Get the WAN IP from System Information in DumaOS
- In Settings > Internet setup, set your IP as the WAN IP from previous step
- Set Subnet Mask as 255.255.255.0
- Set Gateway IP as the WAN IP but with the number after the third dot as a 1
- Example, 192.168.0.45 becomes 192.168.0.1
- Set DNS server as whatever you like, if not sure use 8.8.8.8, then 8.8.4.4, then Gateway IP
Hopefully that will stop it from getting thrown off.
