What happens if you put a external network Gb LAN switch between the XR router and your LAN devices? https://www.netgear.com/support/product/GS105.aspx
Seen others post that this helps there odd disconnections with game consoles and the XR router.
Have you setup IP address reservations for your LAN devices ON the router?

Hi sivola, I've responded to one of your other posts. I realise it is a frustrating issue and rest assured it is being worked on. Have you tried the workaround above?
- C1R3Jul 23, 2019TutorJust return the router. They have been "working" on a fix for well over a year. This router will be obsolete before you get an actual fix. I've already moved on to an Asus router and surprise, I don't have this issue ever. Best of luck

In that case you may need to put a network switch between your XR500 and Xbox.

Been a long standing problem with MS and instant on with NG and other Mfr routers. MS seems to not care about fixing it.
Try a external network non managed GB switch between the router and game console.

I am sorry buying a switch is not a solution either and it is not only MS, this happens with windows laptops and my Apple TV also, so i am guessing Netgear doesn't have a way to solve this and not MS and Apple are the culprit here.
With all do respect this is just bad service for the customers and i am super disapointed and i am not going to buy netgear again, other router models i had worked fine, and a 300$ from netgear doesnt! BAD SERVICE!
