Question

I am trying to have the router assign a static address for the security DVR as everytime the power is interrupted or the router is rebooted,&nbsp; the router address changes. This m,eans I have to go into the Dumas and change the address of the DVR.&nbsp; Seems like there should be an easy way to accomplish this.

I can try,&nbsp; but I think I will get the same results.&nbsp; I will post back after I register the address. I too am at a loss as to why everything got changed,&nbsp; it should have just reserved the address as static for that device and been good.&nbsp; We will see.

Go to LAN Settings and you can set an IP reservation for the DVR there.

Now when I specify the DVR address,&nbsp; it says devices will be disconnected while router gets a new IP address.&nbsp; Whats up with that? Or what does that mean?

It just means when it applies the reserved IP to the device other devices may lose connection briefly but the connection will be restored quite quickly. This is normal.
