Xr500 Geofilter crashing google chrome
As title says. Last night I denied some server and now it just crasges everytime I try to open it. If I go to a dmin etc it works fine its just as soon as the geo filter comes into view it crashes

Yes I would suggest you perform a factory reset from the interface and see if that resolves the issue.

So I just performed a factory reset and the first thing I did was go to geo filter and it just froze again. I'm becoming extremely unhappy with this router!
- Netduma-FraserFeb 23, 2020NetDuma PartnerAre you on the latest firmware? Could you try following the instructions here for the Chrome flag and see if it works properly after that please? https://kb.netgear.com/000061261/Google-Chrome-77-is-blocking-access-to-NETGEAR-login-pages-what-do-I-do
- GamerDuDeFeb 23, 2020GuideI logged in using Microsoft edge and went to the geo filter and then received this notification. I will say this however it did not freeze so I guess we are on the right track!
- Netduma-FraserFeb 23, 2020NetDuma PartnerThat could be because it was accessed using a phone but usually that means the device name has been changed from what it was when it was originally added. Changing the name back or factory resetting will fix that.
- GamerDuDeFeb 23, 2020GuideHow would I change the name back. Not sure I ever did that. Ive accessed this with my phone for almost a year. It started freezing when I denied a server a couple times in a row. Just started to crash chrome. Also after doing the factory reset it hasn't changed anything.
- GamerDuDeFeb 23, 2020GuideOk so bare with me. I think its fine now, smh. I restored my old setting to the router but using edge to do so. The settings I had previously was in lan setup I set up a static route for my xbox. Not sure why or how but everything seems to work. Just pulled it up and no crashing and everything seems to work fine now if that makes sense.
- Netduma-FraserFeb 23, 2020NetDuma PartnerYou would just go to device manager and rename it to whatever it was before. That's great to hear, just to keep in mind, if you're troubleshooting an issue and a factory reset is part of that don't restore your backup as you could be bringing back the issue each time.
- GamerDuDeFeb 23, 2020GuideI thought about that. For whatever reason everything is fine on edge and still doesn't work with chrome! Oh well. Alls well that ends well. Thanks for the help.

That's weird because we always use Chrome to test our firmware before we send it out.
I've never heard of something working in Edge but not working in Chrome...
Perhaps it's to do with Chrome extensions or something?
